Tucows is an Internet service giant that teamed up with the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA).
CHALLENGE

To increase awareness of the .ca domain and drive traffic and sales.

INSIGHT

The .ca domain is not mandatory. In fact, most businesses prefer to use .com because it's an obvious top level domain. But the .ca is a mark of pride; it's like a Canadian flag on a backpacker’s bag. Even if we don't need to, we should still show it.

CONCEPT

A play on words. Get your dot see eh! A Canadian twist with a direct call to action. Add in a catchy jingle and this might just work.

RESULTS
The success of the campaign was undeniable, raising .ca sales 20% year over year. The YouTube pre-roll video was expensive and used to generate awareness. Conversions came from retargeting users with banner ads later.
For example, this was an average month of performance: January 2015 - impressions: 25,128,471 - clicks: 53,163 - conversions: 5313
